My Acoustic Diaries: Weary Wings — The Story Behind the Song

 There are songs you write because you have an idea. There are songs you write because you want to say something. And then there are songs that feel like they were already inside you, waiting for you to finally find the words. “Weary Wings” is one of those songs. I didn't write it from a place of having everything figured out. I wrote it from the opposite place—the place where you're tired, where you've carried things for too long, where some days it feels easier to stop than to keep moving. But you move anyway. That's the part I keep coming back to. Sometimes surviving doesn't look heroic. Sometimes it doesn't look like a breakthrough or some dramatic moment where everything suddenly makes sense.
